ABOUT THE ARTIST

Artist’s Statement

My work explores the quiet intersection between nature, memory, and belonging. Rooted in the wild, unhurried rhythm of the West, each piece becomes a vessel of beauty and reflection — a reminder that meaning isn’t found in the grind of daily life, but in the living pulse of the natural world.

I paint with acrylic and ink on wood, paper, and bone, allowing the materials to guide the process. The surfaces I choose — often organic and imperfect — hold their own histories, mirroring the landscape’s marks of time and endurance. My palette draws from the places that have shaped me: the muted gold of prairie grass, the deep umber of weathered wood, the silver light of snow on pine.

I am drawn to subjects that embody spirit and resilience — horses, wildlife, and the vastness of open land. Through each brushstroke, I seek to capture not only form, but feeling: the sense of stillness that lives inside movement, the fleeting grace that connects all living things.

Ultimately, my work is about grounding — in beauty, in the stories that shaped us, and in the enduring spirit of the land.Artist’s Statement

As an artist in Montana, I have never had a shortage of inspiration. As most already know, these wild places are pure magic, where the old west still plays a part in the new west with no shortage of wildlife, stunning views, and my first love, horses.  Horses have always played a large part in my life and like these wild places I live and grew up in, they are both mystical and unknowable.  They are soft, and they are fierce, beautiful, and rough all at the same time.  They have taught me how to be still but mostly they’ve taught me that there is an elusive magic to life that sits just below the surface, a balance between random chance and grand design. It is the essence of this magic that resides at the core of my work, and the spirit of the horse, subject or landscape that defines the brush strokes and colors I use.

Biography

I create art to remind us that true meaning isn’t found in the grind of daily life—it’s discovered in the quiet rhythm of the natural world.

Living and creating in Montana, I draw inspiration from the untamed beauty of the West: its open skies, wild places, and enduring spirit. Each painting and object I create becomes a vessel of memory, grounding people in beauty, stillness, and connection.

My work is for those who feel the pull of something deeper—for those who long to feel rooted again in the land, in themselves, and in the stories that shaped us. Through color, texture, and form, I seek to capture not just what is seen, but what is felt: the quiet magic of belonging, the echo of legacy, the reminder that we are part of something vast and sacred.

Because art, at its best, doesn’t just decorate a space—it transforms it. It brings us home to ourselves, and to the living world that continues to whisper its wisdom if we only slow down to listen.
